This hat is worked in the round top-down in Stockinette Stitch. First, the crown of the hat is shaped by a series of increases worked according to a chart, and then continued in the round in Stockinette Stitch. The broad hem is then worked in the round in Stockinette Stitch, before being folded and closed using the 3-needle bind-off method in order to make it double layered.
