Åsa Söderman of Åsa Tricosa has delighted knitters for many years with her elegant, seamless Ziggurat sweaters with their pure pared-back style, flawless craftmanship and understated Scandinavian elegance. Her first book, Åsa Tricosa Ziggurats :: 16 elegantly seamless knits, inspired both new and seasoned Ziggurateers with innovative techniques and truly well-fitting wearable sweaters. In her new book, Åsa Tricosa Ziggurats · Colour & Texture, she carries the seamlessness, clean lines, flawless craftsmanship and surprise details to the next level with an injection of texture and colourwork. It is Åsa's passion to inspire others to knit with abandon and to excite and surprise themselves with their knitting. Indeed, there is magic in creating the sculptural three-dimensional Ziggurat yokes from a humble strand of continuous yarn as it weaves, interlocks, zigs, shapes and builds something wearable and beautiful. Her signature is to work each detail organically into the garment along the way. When you bind off, you are truly done, with hardly any ends to weave in.

Swedish by origin, Åsa has lived in New York, Boston, Sussex, Singapore, Scotland, Germany, and now has knitted her way to back to Scandinavia and Denmark, where she lives with her husband and a fair amount of yarn.
