The dress is knitted top-down in stockinette stitch. First, the yoke is worked, then stitches are picked up along the cast-on edge for the sleeves. The sleeves are knitted in the round from the top down and finished with a folded edge. Next, stitches are picked up along the bind-off edge of the yoke for the skirt, and increases are made to create volume. The skirt is worked in stockinette stitch and finished with a wide, folded hem. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline to knit the final folded edge in twisted rib. Elastic is inserted at the waist, neckline, and sleeves to ensure the proper fit.
The dress is knitted in single-stranded Luna, or in Vilje held together with Isager Silk Mohair.
