Garter stitch cardigan with wide edges and a belt at the waist. This cardigan is worked back and forth in garter stitch from the top down. Along the front edges and neckline, stitches are picked up to work a wide ribbed band in double knitting. Decreases are made along the sleeves so that they gradually taper. Finally, a narrow belt is worked in double-knit rib and attached to the cardigan at the waist.
