Long, stockinette stitch sweater with a high slit and a high stockinette stitch neckline. This sweater is first worked in the round from the top down in stockinette stitch while shaping the high neckline and shoulder section, and then worked back and forth when the front and back pieces are established. The body of the sweater is worked in the round in stockinette stitch until the work is divided into front and back, after which it is worked back and forth to create a high slit on each side. The back piece is worked longer than the front piece, and both are finished with a wide folded edge. The sleeves are worked in the round in stockinette stitch with gradual increases and are also finished with a wide folded edge.
